Tara Memorium

1981-2002

Rest in Peace dear Angel

here you can pray for Tara

Name - Tara Maclay

Age - 21

07-11-1981

DIE 2002

Key Relationships - Romantically
involved with Willow Rosenberg.Known Family - Father,
Cousin Beth. (Her mother died when she was seventeen.)
Ran away from home just prior to her 18th birthday.
Current Status - Tara attends the University of
California at Sunnydale. Tara is a member of Willow's
on-campus Wicca group. She and Willow notice each other
right away as the only two people who are actually
interested in spell-casting. When the Gentlemen steal the
voices of Sunnydale, Tara tries to enlist Willow's aid
in a spell that will give back the power of speech.
Before she can, she is pursued by the Gentlemen. She and
Willow unite in moving a heavy vending machine through
the use of magick alone. When they can speak to each
other, Tara tells Willow that she's been practicing
magick all her life - her mother was quite
powerful. They begin practicing together, and their bond
strengthens. With Buffy becoming so involved with Riley and
the Initiative, Willow has more time and attention to
share with Tara. She begins staying over in Tara's
room, lying to Buffy about where she's been, wanting to
keep her new relationship her own private
treasure. But one discordant note creeps into this new
friendship: When Willow casts a spell to reveal the presence
of demons throughout Sunnydale, Tara Secretly
sabotages it. And she's also a little hurt that Willow
hasn't introduced her to her friends... until Willow
does, not sensing that Faith is wearing Buffy's body.
Faith is cruel to Tara, taunting her about her stammer
and her relationship with Willow. But Tara Figures
out that something's wrong, and it through her
efforts, combined once more with Willow's, that Buffy is
ultimately rescued. Then Tara herself is nearly
killed, by the monster Jonathan creates in 'Superstar'.
Willow is beside herself with fear and anger, and the
gang is galvanized into action: Tara has become one of
their own. She's included in Slayerette's discussions
in 'Where the Wild Things Are', and she joins in the
exorcism of Lowell House. The romantic nature of
her relationship with Willow is underscored in 'Where
the Wild Things Are', when the house's sexual energy
affects her negatively during an innocent conversation
with Willow about horses. But it is in 'New Moon
Rising' that the seriousness of their relationship is
revealed. Tara's worst worry comes true when Oz comes back
to Willow. He's been able to control his werewolf
transformations, and he's ready to try again. Tara assumes Willow
will cast her aside. But Willow chooses Tara,
affirming that she's the person she loves. Their
relationship takes on new dimensions in 'The Yoko Factor', as
they're outed to everyone. In 'Primeval', she and Willow
are now a couple (depicted as such in the same way
that Xander and Anya are, with Willow as the main
character and Tara as supporting). However, in
'Restless', Tara is brought into the spotlight as a character
with her own knowledge of the future, someone apart
from Willow, limned so that she stands on her own.
What she knows remains a mystery as Season Four
concludes. Season 5 sees us learning her surname -
Maclay, and that she believes (until she discovers
otherwise in 'Family') that part of her is a demon - which
is why she foiled the demon detector spell. And we
also learn in 'I Was Made To Love You' that she
doesn't think she's very good with computers, and that
she goes online sometimes but thinks its depressing
because everyone's spelling is so bad!
At the end of the 6th season, she is killed by Warren;

Willow is completely desesperate and killed Warren with her evil powers.
